THE LONG SHADOW Film Screening

Primary tabs

In partnership with RAILS libraries across the state, New Lenox Public LIbrary is hosting the opportunity for our patrons to participate in a virtual screening of the PBS Award Winning Documentary, The Long Shadow.

The Long Shadow follows former CNN Senior Producer, TED contributor, and Emmy-Award winning Director Frances Causey as she traces her family’s legacy of white privilege, placing it in the context of the history of anti-black racism in the United States that began with slavery and continues to impact our society today.

The film will be streamed June 21 - June 28. Patrons can access the stream here. Make sure to join us for a special Q&A with director Frances Causey on June 24th!
