Week Calendar

Ages 3 months - 23 months  Stories, music, action rhymes, and toy time for on-the-move babies with a caregiver. Siblings are welcome. No registration is required.

Ages 1½ - 2 ½   Stories, music, and fun for the growing toddler with a caregiver. Siblings are welcome. No registration is required.  Sign in on the Storytime Room door.

Ages 3 months – 6 years Dance around, listen to stories, sing songs, play with instruments, then move and groove with your friends during toy time. No registration is required.

Ages 2 – 3½ Get ready for super stories, spectacular songs, and silly crafts. No registration is required. Sign in on the Storytime Room door.

Seniors 55+ are invited to join us for coffee and treats in Meeting Room A. Talk with other older adults, and hear about other upcoming events at the library especially for seniors. 

Ages 3 – 36 months Stay after storytime for more toy time, or jump in and join us! There will be a unique out-of-the-box spin every week. No registration is required. Sign in on the Storytime Room door.

 Grades 3 - 6 Halloween Escape Room Use your science skills to escape from a creepy, haunted house. Registration begins Sept. 10.

Join us for a how-to series on making your very own Claymation video.  Claymation is an animation technique using clay figures.  Each movement is a new “shot” and the “shots” are connected together at the end to make a movie.  This

VHS and camcorder tapes to DVD. Vinyl albums and cassette tapes to CDs. Old fading photographs scanned in and made new again, Super 8 & 8mm film digitized and shared with family far and near.

Bring your machine and some fabric scraps or a project, and get practicing!  Staff is here to guide you.  To reserve a library sewing machine, call 815-495-2605 ext.

All Ages with a caregiver Throw on your jammies for a family slumber party! Cuddle up for stories featuring your favorite book characters and make a fun craft based on the character of the week.

Have you heard of our Lynda database?

Ages 3 – 6 with a caregiver Hear a story and make a simple snack. Please inform staff of any food allergies during registration. No older or younger siblings please. Registration is required and begins Aug.

Join other knitters and crocheters in an informal exchange of ideas and information and of course to practice your skills.  New members and beginners are welcome!

Grades K – 2 Join us for Bedtime Math’s Crazy 8s.

Grab a friend and paint an original masterpiece.  We provide the supplies; you bring the fun!  Registration required and begins August 31.
