Learn how to find and use newspapers to find information about your ancestors as well as the times they lived in. Some of the items to be found in newspapers includes obituaries, marriage and engagement announcements, birth announcements, legal cases, and ship passage information. We will learn how to find newspapers on line and in libraries and archives and cite your sources. Presented by Caron Primas Brennan, the Society Liaison for the Illinois State Genealogical Society, and creator of https://www.yourcousincaron.com

This group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6 pm. Learn about using different online databases, breaking through “brick walls,” obtaining vital records, and documenting and organizing your family research. Come share your family research success stories and continue to increase the “branches” on your family tree!
