The Illinois Secretary of State’s Mobile Driver Services Facility will offer Driver’s License Renewals, Illinois Photo Identification Cards, License Plate Renewal Stickers, Motor Voter Registration, and Organ Donor Registration. These services are held in the Meeting Room AB inside New Lenox Library at 120 Veterans Parkway New Lenox, IL 60451.
Driver’s License Renewals can be obtained up to one year in advance, and all residents of Illinois are eligible to use this facility. Normal issuance and renewal fees will apply. Illinois residents 65 years of age and older may obtain a photo identification card (not license) at “No Charge”. To apply for a duplicate or corrected license or an ID Card, two forms of identification must be presented. Sorry, no road tests will be given at this location.
Please note: Seniors over 75 years of age, must visit a permanent Secretary of State Drivers Services Facility to renew Drivers Licenses.
Honorably discharged Veterans interested in having the Veteran Designation on their Driver’s License should bring their VA Enrollee ID Card or DD214 (discharge papers) with them.
If the “Veteran” designation is added during the renewal of your Driver’s License or State ID card, there is no additional cost. If a veteran chooses to add the designation before their scheduled renewal date, they may obtain an updated Driver’s License for $5 and an updated State ID card for $10. Veterans over the age of 65 can obtain an updated State ID card at no cost.
Please Note: To obtain the REAL ID, you must go to a regular Drivers Services Facility.
