Event Details

You may know Ignacy Jan Paderewski as a Polish pianist and a politician but that's not all he was: A diplomat, philanthropist, businessman, advocate, and veritable rock star in his time.

Paderewski was one of two Polish representatives to sign the Treaty of Versailles. He was friends with the social elite of America including Herbert Hoover, Andrew Carnegie, and Cornelius Vanderbilt. He owned a vineyard in California. He performed mobile piano concerts on train and performed thousands of concerts across the United States-- essentially creating concert tours as we know them.

Join Bogdan Goc as we explore more than just a list of dates and events, but a life of purpose. Learn about this extraordinary icon and the impact of his life and work in Poland, America, and the world.

This presentation includes personal photographs of Paderewski artifacts and original documents from Bogdan's travels to historical sites, museums, and archives throughout Poland, California, Chicago, and more.
